The Mt. Hope Quilter’s Group is dedicated to assembling warm, comfortable quilts to be distributed throughout Third World Countries by Lutheran World Relief. We work year-round and welcome all types of volunteers. The construction of quilts includes many different jobs: machine sewing, sorting material, tying quilts, trimming and pinning mattress pads and blankets, so there are ways for everyone to help!
In addition, donations of various fabrics, clean used sheets (no flannel), and clean used mattress pads/blankets are always welcome! Thank you for any donations you can provide.

The health cabinet is a group of individuals dedicated to improving the health of our members through homebound member visits, blood drives, blood pressure checks, health screening, and guides for healthy living.

SERENITY INN
SIX SUNDAYS PER YEAR
Serenity Inn is a long-term inpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility in Milwaukee. Residents are there for sometimes as long as 6 to 12 months. The churches in our Synod take turns providing them with an evening meal. Mount Hope does six meals a year on Sunday evenings. Volunteers who sign up prepare a meal for anywhere from 12 to 16 men and deliver it to Serenity Inn at 5:45 PM on our assigned Sunday. Volunteers have the option of eating with the men or just dropping off the meal. If you’d like more information please click below to send an email to Donna Jonasen.
